Steady progress with the focus on completing the hull planking, cutting and installing gunwales and carlins, floors, bench filler board supports, seat tops, veranda roof beams, lazarette and decks.
Warmer temperatures meaning the epoxy is kicking quicker so need to glue smarter and in smaller batches.
Fibreglassed the seat tops (as well as all floors) prior to installation as in my experience horizontal surfaces are subject to hard use.
Big customization of the month is the installation of a rectangular hatch on the face of portside seat, above foot well allowing access to this chamber while keeping seat tops clean. Very pleased with this excellent access.
Nest month will be installing and finishing the deck, veranda sides and roof, final fairing of cockpit and cabin surfacing in preparation for paint.
